Volunteers We'd Appreciate Your Help!

Caring for Teens is both rewarding and demanding for our foster parents. If you would like to help Open Door for Teens, Inc., we have several Volunteer and Partnering opportunities available:

We Need:

• Volunteers to help with up-keep of two Foster Homes.

• Volunteers to help with Fund-raising Events, like our Annual Bowl-a-Thon and the Annual Golf Tournament.

• Christian Board Members with Community influence. Meet the current Board of Directors.

• Couples to Provide Respite time for our Foster Parents to have time away alone, to rejuvenate and to protect their marriages. They would need to be willing to stay in the Open Door Foster Home for overnight periods (one night to two weeks). This would provide for periodic "Get-Away" and vacations and is an essential element of retaining long term Foster Parents, who live with this challenging age-group daily.

• Opportunities to speak to Civic Organizations, Church Adult Sunday School classes, or any other meetings that will provide Open Door for Teens, Inc. with exposure. We can also provide two seminars, one on "Early Childhood Parenting", the Other on "Setting Limits for Your Teens."
