Prayer Needs: October 21, 2007 > Week of 10/22/07

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

I have many thoughts this week but because this is late, I am keeping it short.

The only thing I want to say today is that twenty-five years ago yesterday our son, Clayton, was born, changing our lives forever. He came in yesterday sporting a good-looking beard, a wife of two years and a laugh about how being the same age I was when he was born.

He now realizes I knew nothing then. We all laughed and wondered where the years went but what was funny in my own head was the thought, "I still don't know anything -but I'm not telling!" God is so good in spite of our ignorance and is faithful to our desires to please him. All I wanted twenty-five years ago was for my baby to love Jesus.

Guess what? He loves Jesus.

My job is done. Can I go take a nap?

COLOMA PLACE:
  1. Even though we made big changes, some people going through the house our saying it is great except the older bathrooms and some small things that still need fixing. So pray for the perfect family to come to the home that want new paint, carpet, kitchen and plenty of room for a family to come and fall in love with it.

QUICK FAMILY:
  1. The new boy is supposed to come Thursday. Pray as always for his adjustment as well as the other members in the home.
  2. Pray for Pat as his placement is precarious too because of court decision, not Allison and Will's desire.
  3. Pray for baby.

KEENON HOME:
  1. Melissa will be done with ECT this week unless the doctor says she needs some more and our biggest concern is for her to make up her mind to eat. Nothing will change until she does this for herself. Same story but still the same answers, so please don't quit praying for her to get this.
  2. Matt sprained his wrist this week making it hard for him to do his job. Pray for him to heal quickly.
  3. Margie has been acting funny, and I finally asked her if she was taking her meds. She wasn't. Pray for her to understand the importance. She hasn't done this for a year so she has done well but got emotional the other day and decided she would not take them any more.
  4. I am frustrated with some one in the house and need to know if it needs to be addressed or let it go. Please give us wisdom regarding this person.
When you are outside in the beautiful weather remember who gave it to you.
