Prayer Needs: November 19, 2006 > Week of 11/20/06

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

It has been three weeks since we talked. Sorry. We don’t ever want to take the prayers of the people lightly. It is the foundation of our ministry. Without it the whole ministry would perish. I (Jill) will be on school break soon, and I will resume letting you know what is on my mind. Until then please pray for the following:

QUICK HOME
  • Allison and Will took Pat with them for a week to visit there family in Penn. Pray for the trip. Some of Will’s family has issue with the foster kids and how Allison and Will handle it. They plan on being at Allison’s family but really wanted prayer for the tension on the other side.
  • Pray for Pat and his mom being separated on Thanksgiving. Pray for a solution to this problem. It is sad. They should be together but some issues need to be resolved first.

COLOMA PLACE HOME
  • Sue moved in. She was very sad to leave a very long marriage and her kids behind. Pray for healing in this family. Help her feel uplifted by the Dyers and give the Dyers wisdom on handling her needs.
  • Pray for the Dyers as they adjust to the new home and all that will be coming down the road as more women come to the home.

KEENON HOME
  • Melissa is withdrawing more. She is working on Thanksgiving and is planning on not being here for Christmas any way she can. I told her the frustration it is to watch her not work on anything emotionally or to grow. She has been sad again and not engaging us. Pray for a willingness to grow and see clearly. This is so sad to Paul and me. Pray for God’s guidance for us to see where we can help.
  • I took Melissa driving for the first time last night. She did very well. Pray for this practice time together. She was hurt the other day by something she perceived wrongly and when I tried to fix it she became very uncomfortable with my comfort. Her reactive attachment disorder really came out. Pray for her. She gets so sad about not being like everyone else. Pray God will guide and comfort her.
  • Pray for us to be what Joel needs from our home while he is here. I find myself worrying about him and I am not sure why. Pray for wisdom for us in regards to him.
  • Pray for Paul’s immune system. He is still fighting to get well. Currently he is fighting a sinus infection after West Nile, bronchitis, and pneumonia!
Please pray for Jill regarding the nursing program. I realize I have never had to “obey” a teacher or boss since I have been an adult. Some issues are coming up. Pray for me to do my best at clinical and in the classes.
Have a great turkey day. Praise the Lord for his goodness!
