Prayer Needs: October 01, 2006 > Week of 10/2/06

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

Once again it is, "Guess who is coming to dinner?" We have a family of five living with us for a few weeks but they are coming to do ministry. It looks like God will be using this family in our Coloma Place Home.

They have a heart for young people and have been doing ministry all their lives. But until they can move into the Coloma Place Home they are staying with us. They were in a temporary setting and needed to leave so we said to come on over. I have a feeling that we are going to be learning from them this time.

QUICK BOYS HOME

  • Pat still has not had an allergy attack and has eaten everything that has been prepared for him. Pray for wisdom. This is a strange case.

COLOMA PLACE HOME
  • Please pray for our daughter, Carmen, she is trying to set up the best plan for her and the kids so she can work part time but still have time to get the counseling and healing she needs. Pray for protection of the children's hearts.
  • We are having the board meeting on Tuesday to talk about the six different possibilities for ministry we could develop. Pray for it to be clear to all. The Board, Will, Allison and Jill and I, will need to be discerning and willing to be used of God. We will be stretching!

KEENON HOME
  • We are still working on getting Margie to this doctor for the neurofeedback. Pray for this to come about. She also had to report a sexual harassment last week on a fellow worker. It was upsetting to her but sometimes it is hard to help her because she does not always follow the conversation clearly. Pray for this situation at her work for all involved.
  • Melissa seems better in mood, but I don't know if I can attribute it to the neurofeedback. Pray for her salvation.
  • Pray for Joel to be able to let his heart be exposed a little. We enjoy him and pray he could be comfortable just being himself.
  • Paul is okay but it looks like this West Nile thing is going to be hanging on for awhile. Pray for a strong immune system.
  • Please pray for me, Jill. I am not a procrastinator but I am very unmotivated lately. I feel like I am in slow motion. Pray for me to get my spunk back. I am not depressed. It seems more physical, but who knows?
Thanks for praying for Dennis Bentz, ODFT Board Member. He survived the operation for cancer and will need one round of chemotherapy. Then he will need more prayer that all cancer has been killed.
Enjoy the weather while it lasts and praise God when you look at the beauty.
