Prayer Needs: September 24, 2006 > Week of 9/25/06

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

I did absolutely nothing all weekend so now I need to study for a test so; I need to get my act together. That means no words of wisdom except procrastination is a drag!

QUICK BOYS HOME
  • Continue to pray for Pat. The jury is still out on whether this boy really has allergies or the mom is making his intense reactions happen. Pray for wisdom for everyone. If there is not a problem with the Mom, he needs to be home with her. If the problem is the Mom then she needs to get help.

COLOMA PLACE HOME
  • Our daughter had a breakdown this weekend and has become harmful to herself and those around her. She is not married and has two children. Pray for the protection of the children (she has not hurt them) and for her to get the mental health help she needs.

KEENON HOME
  • Paul is still having problems with the West Nile virus. He has had a fever for three days. He will be going to the doctor today or tomorrow. Pray for his immune system and doctor’s wisdom.
  • There is a chance that Margie can have the same treatments that Melissa is getting for her brain. Pray this can be worked out and we can get her some help.
  • Melissa seems to be going to her treatments. Pray for them to work. Pray for her to eat. Pray for healing in her family and pray for her salvation.
  • One of our first foster daughters, Barbie, is showing signs of schizophrenia. Her husband came to the house last Sunday and asked us for help. We told him what to do and he has not called me back and I can not call him because Barb with answer. Pray for them both to get her the help she needs.
  • The Golf Marathon was a hit. The golfers raised about $23,000. Praise the Lord. If anyone is moved to donate towards our work, we of course are still accepting pledges or donation.
  • Joel and Paul had a good talk the other day. Pray that we can be there for Joel. He was able to express some of his expectations and feelings. Pray for him to learn to reach out when he needs something emotionally.
  • Pray for the ODFT board members. We will have some real interesting things to work through very soon. Our next board meeting is on October 3.

Have a good one.
