Prayer Needs > Week of 9/18/06

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

John 15:7-8 says, "But if you stay joined to me and my Word remains in you, you may ask any request you like and it will be granted! My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings great glory to the Father." Let us stay so close to Jesus that it is natural to expect Him to answer because we will want what He wants. God does not want us to go from miracle to miracle. That is living in survival mode.

We are to be "more than conquerors" on an everyday basis. There may be trials and tribulations, but we can ride them out because we know without any doubt that the Lord is right in the middle of it; we can ask for help, and it will come. Our life is a miracle just because we are living victorious because of what Jesus did for us. We should expect the supernatural on an everyday basis because we have Jesus not just in a crunch, but always. Amen!

QUICK HOME

  • We will call the new boy, Pat. He is doing well and has not had any allergic reactions to anything. It may be an emotional issue with him. Pray for wisdom to know what is going on. The Quick's are noticing that Pat seems to be somewhat simple-minded and not too concerned with anything but the present moment. Pray for some answers for this family.

KEENON HOME

  • The caseworker for Bonnie called on Wednesday and said that Bonnie was moving that day. So, today she came and got her stuff but it appears we have the answer as to why she has been so emotional. She is pregnant and does not even know the man's name. This explains a lot, but it is very sad. One more welfare child to come into the world. Pray for that child. (Once again I am so glad Jesus is in charge because it confuses the heck out of me.)
  • Margie planned on moving out as of Wednesday to a two bedroom apartment with eight people in it, five of them children under seven. We talked her out of it, and it seems she is just sad that Bonnie left and thought she should be independent right now. Pray for her: she gets easily confused and swayed.
  • Paul is still weak from the West Nile virus. Pray for his immune system to work efficiently and productively
  • Friday is the Golf Marathon. Pray for a good turn out.
  • Pray for us to know if someone should replace Bonnie.
  • Pray for Joel as he goes through the week. I worry about him feeling lonely - even though he does have friends, he is not a big communicator, and I can't always know if he is just quiet or feeling something.

Abide in the Lord!
