Prayer Needs: May 21, 2006 > Week of 5/22/06

From the Desk of Jill Keenon, Operations Director:

I want to be Jesus to those around me. How about you?

COLOMA PLACE HOME

  • Same prayer. Preparation for the change.

QUICK HOME

  • Our old foster daughter Sarah who came by last week got her prayers answered by getting another job the she can take her children with her. This allows her to keep her apartment. Pray for her to know it is Jesus who is helping her. She is very mixed up by the Muslim/Christian thing. This means she will not be moving in with Allison and Will.
  • The girl in Southern Illinois probably is not coming either. The place is giving a sixteen year old too much say in where she goes.
  • Pray for who is to come.

KEENON HOME

  • We will be having Joel come live with us in the next few weeks. He is a boy from Paul's core group of boys at the youth group. His parents are missionaries in Mexico and he needs to go to College of DuPage in the fall. We really like him so we thought it would be fun to have a boy in the home again. Pray for the transition. This means Margie and Bonnie will have to share a room again and they will be disappointed but I am sure will be fine. Pray for us to have a good idea for the best way to arrange things.
  • Bonnie is pretty much done with her school training in living skills. She will be transitioning to Ray Graham for her job coaching and the apartment thing is still in process. Pray for her as this is a big stretching point for her and she is always thinking about it all. She also had a close call with trying to meet up with a man from the party line on the phone. It got stopped but she now is working on her addiction to the phone. She is trying to fill her mind with "God" things and have a routine to read the Bible every night. Pray for her to make this change.
  • Margie is doing better this week. Pray for her to stay stable.

Great news, our daughter McKayla and son-in-law Tim are pregnant again! Hanna will have a new brother or sister for the New Year. This will be our 16th grand child. Praise the Lord!
