What Is Open Door for Teens, Inc.?

Our Teens

Simply put, it is a fund established to aid Foster Parents caring for At-Risk Teens, usually 13-18 years of age (or still in High School).

We believe firmly in Accountability, Discipline, and Love.

We admit Teens from multiple private agencies & provide several different types of support, including:

  • Foster Care - Both Short-term and Long-term Care more >>
  • Family Advocacy - Speaking to Families with Children of All Ages more >>
  • Foster Parent Support - Getting Foster Parents What They Need more >>

Here are some of our most Frequently Asked Questions:

The Big Question: Do You Only Work with Teens?

In foster care, yes, but in the Families Helping Families Program our experienced parents mentor and advocate for families with children of all ages. Our foster parents have their own children and have fostered numerous Teens. more >>

What Makes ODFT Unique?

We specialize in instilling a strong moral base and establishing emotional roots and values in all areas of the childrens' lives to prepare them for their return to the Family and to the Community. Open Door for Teens, Inc. is dedicated to the institution of the Family and Foster Care as a resource in stabilizing children of abuse and neglect. Counseling is provided by the agencies we serve.

By parenting the "Old-Fashioned Way", ODFT is also dedicated to preventing the need for Teens to ask the question, "Do I (or my girlfriend) need to choose to have an abortion?" Essentially, a Pro-life activity with no negative outcome.

How Do ODFT Foster Parents Become Qualified?

Our Foster Parents are trained and licensed by the Department of Children & Family Services
(DCFS) and the DuPage County Juvenile Probation Department.

What Is the Goal of ODFT? What Are You About?

ODFT, Inc. is dedicated to bringing the responsibility for the care of our abused and neglected children back to our community and churches, as we believe God originally intended, thus relieving the tax burden on our society as a whole.

This is our calling and our passion.
